Tonight's game (Tues 5-1-07)

Schilling 3-1 3.27 ERA VS Blanton 2-1 3.55 ERA

The A's have good starting pitching but that about all they have going for them. They're facing our top pitchers so if the offense is productive we should get a couple of wins.

Yikes! Papelbon blew the save. Well even the great ones aren't perfect. We can still win this thing though...

I guess the bullpen is full of humans after all.

It was a tough loss (especially since Schilling pitched so well) but these kind of things happen.

To look on the bright side - Schilling is looking better than when the season started. I was a little leary about how he'd do after opening day, but am glad to see him pitching to the ability we know he can.

Beckett takes the mound tonight, lets hope he can keep his perfect record in tact. He's looking really comfortable on the mound this season and it seems he's really learning how to "pitch" as opposed to "throw". If he stays healthy and applies what he's learned I think he's got a shot at the Cy Young this year.
