Mon 4/23

Wakefield 1.35 ERA VS Ohka 7.02 ERA

Tues 4/24

Tavarez 6.75 ERA VS Halladay 2.37 ERA

Toronto has some heavy hitters but our bats have really heated up. We have a favorable pitching matchup tonight (mon) but I'm worried about Tavaraez keeping up with Halladay.

What a crappy game, We need to bounce back tomorrow to keep the teams confidence up. Let's hope Tavarez can keep us in the game and the offense gets back to the production level of the yankees series.

The dreaded "Yankee Hangover" is in full effect this series.

I would be interested in seeing how the Sox have fared recently in the series immediately after they play the Yankees. And vice-versa as well. I would bet that both teams suffer after playing each other.

Of course, I am too lazy to research this myself......

Wow! Kinda suck to lose to the blue birds 2 in a row. At least we can take comfort in the fact that Tavarez will be shipped back to the pen once lester is ready. On to Baltimore...

Unfortunate sweep that was painful at times, but I find joy when I think about the Yankees on a 5 game losing streak.

Can't expect to beat Halladay every time with Tavarez....

The way I see it is that Tavarez is keeping Lesters seat warm until he is ready. We can't win every game so I expect Tavarez to get losses while the real starters keep racking up the wins.

It would be nice if he could at least go 7 innings though and not tax the bullpen for when we really need them.
